It could be a possibility if one of the parents was armed or had a gun where the grandchildren could use the outcome could be different.
But seeing how it was Kalifornia they could have been anti gun nuts or possibly because of the laws unable to purchase a firearm.
I almost didn’t run this story since it wasn’t gun related, but I thought it was important to point out the fact that evil and crazy people will find a way to harm others guns or no guns.
In this case a man in Santa Barbara, California stabbed his parents, two young sons and family dog to death before surrendering to authorities.
According to KTLA,
A 45-year-old man was arrested late Monday night after allegedly stabbing his parents and two young sons to death inside a home in the Santa Barbara area, authorities said Tuesday.
When Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home, [Nicolas Etienne Holzer] met them at the front door and was taken into custody, the release said.
The victims were identified as Holzer’s parents, 73-year-old William Holzer and 74-year-old Sheila Holzer and his two sons, 13-year-old Sebastian Holzer and 10-year-old Vincent Holzer.
The family dog was also killed.
An absolutely terrible, horrendous crime. However, I highly doubt anyone, especially politicians, will be blaming the kitchen knives thought to be the murder weapons in this case. California has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, and, who knows, maybe those laws stopped Holzer from buying a firearm. However, the lack of a firearm did not stop Holzer from committing a terrible crime.
